Dream Cottage

This week the Eileen Hull Design Team are joining forces with Stampendous for an "Along the Garden Path Blog Hop. Pop by the Stampendous Blog for all the details.
I combined the Cottage Home Stamps and Die set from Stampendous with Eileen Hull's products. I began by painting my book box with Gesso and then a coat of DecoArt Media Crackle Paint and then applying DecoArt Media Paints Green Gold and Burnt Umber; applying the Green Gold first with a paintbrush and then dabbing the Burnt Umber over the top with a natural sponge for a mottled effect.
I cut my Cottage from some bark like material I purchased a while back and I tinted with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, adding the stamped elements with Black Archival Ink and shading with Pitt Pens.
I loved creating my quirky trees; the base of which are book pages and the wire element has been created using Eileen Hull's new Twist and Style tool which you can see Eileen demoing HERE. I adhered the wire to the book pages with DecoArt Media Liquid Glass.
I used Tim Holtz Found Relatives to add to my scene, tinting one of their dresses with Distress Markers and adding flowers cut from shrink plastic using Eileen Hull's Buttons, Borders and Trim Die.
To complete I added moss to my design along with an 'imagine' ChitChat sticker.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Tracy x x
